We’re a team of architecture students making things happen and bringing people together. We hold conversations with unconventional and inspired voices in the field of architecture; run packed-out life drawing sessions; put on cult student club nights with thousands of attendants, and parties just for us; construct pavilions; play football in Cambridge University’s only mixed team, and host a weekly radio show — ARCSOC does it all. We’ve even started a garden. It all leads to our summer exhibition: funded, designed, constructed, and run entirely by us.
ARSCOC started out in 2005 when a group of students decided to put on their own end-of-year show in London. It subsequently grew into a completely unique student society which does much more than just put on an exhibition — it provides the framework for the spirit of community within our department; a community which draws, dances, plays games, builds, and learns from each other. For the past twenty years, ARCSOC has succeeded because of the work of students, for students.
